I want to evaluate the H5P video by SAMR framework. The H5P interactive video reached modification and redefinition. It allows us to learn by videos and have interaction with everyone who can see the videos. And we can get feedback and others’ comments. Instead of writing an essay, students are more likely to make the video or using technologies to learn.

I choose the SAMR framework because it is easier to understand and positioning what we’re learning now. It briefly explained the different levels of technology learning methods and their pros and cons.

The H5P video I did last week used two principles: Signaling Principle and Segmenting Principle.

The signaling principle allows people to learn better when there are highlights in the video. I put the questions right after the right answer. If the learner does not know the answer, they can watch it again. This enhanced their memories.

The segmenting principle is to separate the video into several parts. The questions and information help separate the video so that the learner will concentrate and will not be boring.
